Product Photography for Catalogues
Precision imaging for e-commerce and commercial catalogues. We transform physical goods into high-converting visual assets using advanced lighting and meticulous technical execution in our Brisbane studio.
In the competitive landscape of digital commerce, the quality of your product imagery is the primary driver of consumer trust. A product photograph is not merely a record of an item; it is a silent salesperson that must communicate quality, texture, scale, and authenticity. At Barbevexaxo, we specialise in creating clean, consistent, and technically perfect imagery that aligns with the strict requirements of modern online marketplaces and high-end printed catalogues.
Our approach combines technical mastery of light with an understanding of commercial psychology. Whether you are launching a new skincare line, expanding a furniture catalogue, or updating an electronics inventory, we ensure that every reflection is controlled and every colour is accurately represented. By utilising our 120 m² studio and professional strobe systems, we provide a scalable solution for brands that require absolute consistency across hundreds of individual assets.
Who Is This Service For?
Our catalogue photography services are engineered for businesses that rely on visual presentation to drive sales. We primarily work with:
- E-commerce Store Owners: Those requiring standardised "white background" imagery for Shopify, Amazon, or eBay to ensure a professional store appearance.
- Brand Manufacturers: Companies needing high-resolution assets for wholesale catalogues, brochures, and press kits.
- Boutique Artisans: Small-scale producers whose handmade goods require a premium visual narrative to justify a luxury price point.
- Marketing Agencies: Creative firms that outsource the technical production of product shots to ensure studio-grade quality.
The Production Process
Briefing and Asset Planning
We begin with a detailed analysis of your product list. We discuss the required angles, the desired mood (high-key vs. moody), and the technical specifications of your output platform to ensure the composition is perfect.
Studio Setup and Lighting
Each product is treated individually. We configure our professional strobe and continuous LED systems to eliminate unwanted glare and highlight the product's best features, ensuring a consistent look across the entire batch.
Capture and Quality Control
We execute the shoot using high-resolution sensors. Every frame is checked on-site for sharpness and composition. We work through the inventory systematically to maintain lighting parity across all items.
Post-Production and Delivery
The images undergo professional retouching, including background cleaning and colour correction. Final assets are delivered via a secure online gallery, formatted specifically for your intended use.
Client Preparation: What to Provide
To ensure the efficiency of the shoot and avoid delays, we require clients to prepare their items meticulously. The quality of the final image depends heavily on the condition of the physical product.
Products should be cleaned of all fingerprints, dust, and smudges. For reflective items, we recommend using microfiber cloths just before shipping. If your products require specific styling—such as filled cushions or specific placements—please provide a mood board or reference images. What is Included in the Service?
Every product photography session at Barbevexaxo is comprehensive. We don't just take a photo; we create a commercial asset. Our standard package includes:
- Professional studio lighting and backdrop setup.
- High-resolution capture in RAW format for maximum data retention.
- Background removal or cleaning to achieve a pure white or neutral grey look.
- Colour correction to ensure the product matches its real-life appearance.
- Basic retouching to remove minor surface imperfections and dust.
- Delivery of final images in JPEG format (full size and web-optimised).
- Access to a private online gallery for selection and download.
Deliverables and Timelines
Upon completion of the shoot, we enter the post-production phase. Our standard delivery time is 10 working days. This allows our senior retoucher, Amelia Brown, to ensure every pixel meets our quality standards. You will receive a link to an online gallery where you can download your final images. This gallery remains active for a set period to ensure you have ample time to archive your assets.
Regarding the technical files: we provide the final retouched JPEGs. RAW files are the intellectual property of the studio and are not provided as standard, though they can be discussed as a separate contractual agreement. We maintain a backup of your project files for 6 months following the delivery date.
Exclusions: What is Not Included
To maintain transparency in our pricing, it is important to note what is not covered by the standard catalogue rate:
- Complex Prop Styling: The cost covers the product and background. Elaborate set design or the purchase of external props is billed separately.
- Advanced CGI/3D Rendering: We provide photographic services; 3D modelling is not part of this specific service.
- Model Fees: If your product requires a human hand or a model for scale, model agency fees are the responsibility of the client.
- Extensive Restoration: Removing major structural defects from a product via Photoshop is considered advanced retouching and may incur additional fees.
Pricing and GST
Our pricing is structured to support both small startups and established brands. We offer a per-item rate for small batches and a discounted rate for larger catalogues to ensure scalability. All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). In accordance with Australian law, we clearly state the price including and excluding the 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST).
